*I PROPOSE-PW*
The area of interest I have chosen is the rising affect that the economy has on college students. I feel as though this is important to me and should be important to many of us, as we are the people that the economy is affecting. A lot of people have decided to further their education in their home state yet they have had dreams to do otherwise. That brings up the question: Is the economy really that bad that it is causing students to steer away from their dreams!? I think so. I mean it is really ridiculous and I don't think there's really anything being done about it!

*Website-Alcoholism*
Have you ever wondered… Why at eighteen, YOU are allowed to choose the president of the U.S, can be arrested and tried as an adult, serve the country; to live or die, buy lottery tickets and tobacco, but aren’t responsible enough to purchase alcohol? Well, that gets to me, so I decided to do a website based on lowering the legal drinking age. Teens all over the world are exposed to alcohol. The debate upon whether or not the drinking age should be changed back has been going on since it was changed. The drinking age was changed in 1987 because “youths brains are not fully developed until about the age of twenty one.” Also, officials thought that if they changed the law it would decrease traffic incidents. They were clearly wrong as incidents are more prevalent now than they were before the law was changed. It is difficult for officials to enforce a law to a billion teens who are not accepting it. I feel as though it would be easier to contain these young teens if they changed the law. People need to teach and provide didactic methods of learning to keep teens from being ignorant and abusing alcohol. My website is designed to give people my intake on things, provide them with a little background information on the law and why it was changed, how it effects society, how will change make it better, give statistics of the negative affect the change has on the country, and lastly provide an understanding of the pros and cons of changing the law back. www.underageddrinking.weebly.com

I finally found something that matters to me! Softball! I feel as though since I have been in college, I have been missing it a wholeeeeee lot! I started playing my sophomore year. Never played before and still made co-captain of the jr. varsity team! I started for three years and made captain of the varsity team my senior year. I also made the all-conference team along with two other players from my team. The feeling was great! I miss being on the field! I miss complaining about my knees from back catching for hours. I miss throwing and catching. I miss discussing plays with my coach! Sometimes I wish I can just go back. I tried out for the team here but I guess I don't have what they were looking for. I will definitely be training very hard over the summer to tryout again. Although, I'm playing intramural, it will never be the same!

Okay, I thought homecoming was like the best college experience a person could have. I was completely wrong! In high school, I looked forward to "homecoming spirit week" every year. It was like the best week ever. Decorating the halls, voting for royalty, dressing up for different days, the game, the dance, everything was just amazing! BSU homecoming week was so dead and languid! The pep rally for instance, is supposed to be the hypest event ever. The opening day ceremonies were so boring, I almost fell asleep watching. On certain days, there was only like one event happening. I feel as though, it could've been more fun if there were more events offered each day. This made me wish I was back in High School for a moment.... I'll always bleed Orange and Green!
*..Wasn't What I Expected.....
Last Thursday, we had to do conferences for English. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was a little nervous. I mean I didn't think it would be too bad considering it would only last for ten minutes. I'm not overall pleased with the essays that I have done and the multimodal argument we are working on was a little confusing for me. Upon entering the conference, I didn't know if I was supposed to be talking about my work in general or the upcoming project. Once I got in McArdle's office, things mellowed down. It was actually pretty cool. He helped me a little with my argument and gave me the update of where I stand in class as far as my work! :)

*Palms Sweaty*
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy/
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti/
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready/
To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting/
What he wrote down/
So, last week I had to do an informative speech. I was going crazy because I couldn't pick a subject to write about. I also hate public speaking; and when I am nervous my words seem to scramble together. After some last minute brainstorming, I decided to do a speech on dance. I felt as though I was highly qualified to do so as I've been dancing since I could pretty much walk. I took two dance classes( tap and ballet), cheered for two years, danced on a pom team for two years, danced for the majestics dance team for four years; and became co-captain and captain, and even danced on a hip-hop team for about three years. Since I've been in college, I was enrolled in a Dance History class(of which I learned a lot), for about 3 weeks before I dropped it. Since dance has been a part of my life for so long, I was comfortable with speaking on the subject (or at least I thought I was). Having a PowerPoint behind me made things a little bit easier but I was still nervous. Anywho, I checked my grade online and I got a 99%! This has got to be a mistake!
